Hills & Dales Welcomes Jason T. Wells, MD

Hills & Dales General Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr. Jason T. Wells, General Surgeon, to their medical staff.  Dr. Wells will take over the Cass City General Surgery Clinic upon the retirement of Dr. Francis Ozim.

Dr. Wells is originally from Battle Creek, Michigan, and completed both his undergraduate work and medical schooling at the University of Michigan.  Dr. Wells’s surgery experience includes most recently working at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts, as a Plastic Surgery Fellow.  Prior to that, Dr. Wells was a General Surgery Resident at Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina.

Dr. Wells has very similar experience in General Surgery and will continue to perform the services that Dr. Ozim has in the past.  Some of these procedures include upper and lower endoscopies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removal, breast biopsies, appendectomies, and much more.

There will be an Open House for Dr. Wells on Wednesday, August 24, at the Cass City General Surgery Clinic from 11:30-1:30.  Everyone is invited and encouraged to stop by to meet Dr. Wells.

As Dr. Ozim completes his 14 year career with Hills & Dales, he will work with Dr. Wells to make the transition seamless.  A retirement party is planned for Dr. Ozim in mid-September.

Jean Anthony, President & CEO, notes, “Dr. Ozim was gracious enough to give us ample notice of his retirement.  We met and interviewed many general surgeons during that time and when we met Dr. Wells, we knew he was the perfect fit.  His background, clinical skills, work ethic, and friendly personality are exactly what we were looking for.  We wish Dr. Ozim and Margaret all the best as they enjoy their retirement.  And we welcome Dr. Wells and his soon to be wife, Candyce, to our wonderful community and are excited for him to take care of our patients.”
