Hills & Dales Visitor Policy
Effective 2.4.2021

Med/Surg: Patients (including Inpatient, Observation, Swing Bed, etc.) may have one visitor at a time.  New: Different individuals may visit a patient throughout the approved visiting hours, but it remains only one visitor at a time. All visitors will undergo a health screening before entering the facility.  Visitation on the Medical-Surgical unit is from 11am-7pm.

Emergency Department: Patients may identify one approved visitor for the duration of their stay. The visitor must remain in the patient’s room unless directed otherwise by hospital staff. For the safety of the visitor, patients, and staff, visitors may be asked to leave the ER department at any time if deemed necessary by hospital staff.

Surgery: Patients may identify one approved visitor for the duration of their stay. The visitor is encouraged to wait in their vehicle during the patient’s procedure until notified by hospital staff to return to the building.

Outpatient Procedures (Radiology, Stress Tests, etc.) and Clinics: No visitors are allowed unless needed due to patient condition or required for patient physical, cognitive, or emotional support (cognitive/physical disability, difficulty understanding medical condition, etc.). 

For all areas:

• Visitors must be 17 years of age or older and healthy (no s/s of COVID)
• Pediatric patients may have one parent/guardian. Only one parent/guardian may spend the night if patient is admitted.
• No visitors will be allowed in rooms of patients with known or suspected COVID-19.
• Per the discretion of hospital staff, exceptions may be made for patients who are at end-of-life or other extenuating circumstances.
